4 X 4 = 8 Musicals

4 X 4 = 8 Musicals

Forget what you know about big, splashy musicals,…at least for one night cause we’ve shrunk them down to fit on a 4’ X 4’ stage!   Taking inspiration from the long running dance series Ten Tiny Dances, this show features eight original 10-minute musicals presented on a dinky 4’ X 4’ stage.  These minuscule-musicals are accompanied by a live band and will prove that more is less. Part of the Fertile Ground Festival 2012.

Eating Raoul - The Musical

Eating Raoul - The Musical

Eating Raoul – The Musical is an ironic, amoral goof on marriage and the American dream, based on the wicked and perverse 1982 cult classic film by Paul Bartel.  Mary and Paul Bland are a square, celibate couple -- she cooks, he collects wine -- completely out of step with the sexual revolution surrounding them in 1960's Los Angeles. Appalled by the "swinger" neighbors in their apartment complex, they inadvertently bop one on the head with Mary's frying pan and become tempted into a kinky life of crime in order to raise the down payment on a small, rustic restaurant far from LA.  The soup thickens when they become involved with a partner, Raoul, their swarthy, sexy janitor, who helps them to help dispose of the bodies.
